The strenght here comes not from pure distortion of figurative elements, but from the ambiguity applied to the everyday and familiar.

It is less...cartoon and more matter of fact.
Too much obvious distortion of recognizable makes would have made it seem whimsical. By preserving the purity of the "unknowable", it gains credence. Good work.

Whoa, what the fuck... it looked like a cartoon on the dinky thumbnail view in my devwatch, and now I just have no idea... too sunny out to properly see dark colors, so I'll wait until night to full view this one. That said, this comment serves nearly no purpose, save to mention that I expect to be thoroughly weirded out later tonight.
